  After having many negative experiences with Baptist churches I was hesitant to attend Sharon Heights. My in-laws fell in love after their first visit and decided to become members. The church sets up a special meetings which includes a meal when a new person/family shows interest in joining the church. That's something I had never even heard of. In this meeting they give a detailed introduction to their services and explain everything there is to know about the church so you can make an educated decision on rather you want to become a member or not. They offer excellent classes from the newborn nursery all the way up and even have an amazing check-in/out procedure in place for dropping your children off to their classes. If that wasn't enough, each parent even receives a pager (like at Outback) that the teachers can use to alert you on how your child is doing. They have security on the premises for each service as well. When it comes to community events like Halloween they go all out and welcome any and all just as they do regarding everything else. God's presence is made very clear during the sermons and an abundant feeling over welcomeness for all people (red, yellow, black, & white, etc...) is felt. The pastor himself is a very Godly admirable man. The last time I spoke to him he stopped what he was doing to sit with me and as I spoke of my worries and pain I could see clearly that he felt my distress and honestly cared. He and his ministry go above & beyond to share the word of God and make it a point not to shy away from the word because of public scrutiny or media influence of any kind. If you are lost, curious, in need, at rock bottom, or just looking for a new church to call home I highly recommend giving Sharon Heights a try. You've got nothing to lose but even if you decide not to join I can promise that you will gain something from the experience. God bless!

  To me this is a great Church to be plugged in and Worship.
